If you'd look at the website for longer than 10 seconds, you'd see that the mic attaches to your headphones with some adhesive.

 

Unless you're referring to how the person didn't suggest any headphones. In that case, that person was simply suggesting a mic for some headphones, so I wouldn't make a comment like that. :P

Don't see why not. They're comfortable and have good bass and all around sound for what they cost. I picked mine up from Massdrop for 30$Don't have any others I can suggest. I've had turtle beaches in the past that cost twice what this headset costs and the Superlux blows them out of the water.
