HTPC/ Future Steambox

hey guys im looking into building my own HTPC, which may turn into a future steambox, as you will see for some of the choices, it will be playing at 1080p MAX resolution, not anything more and used solely for gaming and movies here is my parts list let me know what you guys think,

 

Case- CM Elite 120 m-itx (not 100% sure though)

Motherboard-MSI Z97I Gaming AC mITX LGA1150

Memory-G.SKILL Ripjaws 8gb

Psu- Seasonic platinum 520w

Gpu- gtx 980 or 970 i would like to hear some opinions on this choice

Cpu-Intel Core i5 4690K

Storage- Samsung 840 evo 250gb (will add a hdd or a bigger ssd in the future)

First and foremost, if you plan on using a haswell refresh chip, get a motherboard with the Z97 chipset. Secondly, a 970 should be more than enough for 1080p. Finally, my own opinion of course, the Elite 120 would look horrible. Pick a case made by Lian-Li. They make some amazing HTPC cases as well as small form factor cases.

lol awkward the motherboard was supposed to say z97 i changed it in the sig, and whats your opinion on the PC-05 case?

If you're willing to wait till February, then go for it.
