Dota 2 4K

I am planning on getting a 4k monitor and i play quite a bit of dota and i was curious if it just looks like a scaled 1080 game or can it be played in 4K and if there is any difference thanks.

I don't think that you can run Dota 2 at fully 4K as of right now. Maybe someone can prove that wrong

Dota doesn't contain that much of intense graphics tbh, so why bother?

I've downscaled it on my 1080p monitor and I was able to run it, but I do have a fairly high-end machine.
