Getting a aftermarket cooler would be better because the stock cooler can't handle the oc cpu temps well, the stock cooler is fine for normal use when it's not overclocked. 

You can use the stock cooler to overclock but i would only recommend overclocking a couple hundreds mhz if  your using the stock  cooler.

A great aftermarket cooler with the best bang for buck is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
