One environment on many devices

Hello LTT community is there a way to have let say the same OS with all working files/programs and so on on many devices.

Let say I have a PC at my office with all my software and working files for my project and I would like to have the same OS and files and configuration at home let say on my laptop and even home PC. If i make some changes at home to software configuration (let say I add a new software or create some files or install some OS or software updates) is there a way to have the same updated configuration on all other devices. For now I'm stuck with manual updates and folder synchronization but this is such a pain in azz)
