Posted August 19, 2014 I have a Lian-Li PC-Q08 that I use as home server and I'm planning to add several more HDD to also use it as NAS. Right now I have a 140mm Noctua fan in the front and I removed the top fan since it was using the back case holes as intake and was making some dust into the case. Sinde the CPU is a low TDP one, the airflow of the 140mm fan is enough to keep the motherboard cool. Right now I'm planning in adding 4 more HDD and removing a SSD (sinde the motherboard has 6 SATA connectors), but doing so I add more restriction to the front fan as its airflow will be partially blocked by the HDD. Since I have the extra top fan I was wondering if it would be a good setup to install it somehow in the bottom of the case. Since I don't have any PCI device, I have all the bottom free. The main SSD would go on the 5.25" drive bay and the rest of the HDDs would go as the image. Is this a good setup? Any idea how to fix the 120mm fan to the bottom of the case? .
