I plugged pump into ASST pin, because it's the only 3 pin up there. Can I plug a 3 pin onto the 4 pin cpu fan header?

If that fix fixes the boot-error, and temperatures are fine in-OS (run a stress test perhaps, if the temperature immediately spikes, shut it off to prevent burning it out, if it doesn't, leave it to run for half an hour or so and watch it).

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

like prime 95?

I'm running prime95, chose "blend"

highest I can see is 86% at 48C

It is supposed to go into the fan header marker as CPUFAN. If it isn't that header then I would switch it over and see if the problem goes away.

You plugged it in the wrong header, read the manual and see where to put the cpu fan.

 

 

It is supposed to go into the fan header marker as CPUFAN. If it isn't that header then I would switch it over and see if the problem goes away.
