PC randomly shutdowns (sometimes reboots automaticly)

My computer started randomly shuttingdown 4 days ago, sometimes it's within a short amount of time, like 5-30 min, other times i can run for 6-8 hours without anything happening.

It's a new build, 3 weeks old, and was my first build too. However it ran the first 2,5 weeks perfectly. I kinda suspect the weather to cause overheating of my PSU.

Specs:

CPU: Intel I5 4690k 3.5 Ghz (Not overclocked)

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Køler

GPU: MSI geforce GTX 770

RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 16GB  2x8GB 1600MHz  CL10 DIMM

PSU: corsair RM750, 750W

Motherboard: MSI Z97 gaming 5

Windows 7 home, 64 bit

----

The temps of CPU og GPU is fine,

CPU is around 30-40, 55 max while gaming. GPU is max 65 while gaming, so those shouldn't cause the problem (I guess)

However because of the hot weather, my room can problably hit 30-35 degrees through the day,

and as far as i know the Corsair RM750 fan doesn't till 40% og some temperature, and i've never seen it spin either.

Could it be the PSU simply running too hot, and just shut down?

P.S Before i wrote this, i changed the PSU from facing down to face upwards, to see if it couldn't get enough cool air because of my case being too low.

No result yet.

Well, as i pointed out, the temps of CPU/GPU is fine.. However because of the fan of my PSU doesn't spin, it doesn't get cooled, and it does seem to run a little hot.

Could it be the fact that the fan in my PSU just doesn't set in, and the PSU get's overheated? I guess that would cause the PSU to shut off, to prevent damage.

However, that seems like a faulty design to me.

Had this same thing. When my PC was plugged to a power strip I got random freezes and shutdowns, when It was plugged straight to the power outlet on the wall then no random shutdowns, probably then power strip wasn't enough for my PSU.

Also worth checking if all PC hardware cables are properly connected.

Ye, i've gone through all the cables, and everything is plugged in. I do have it plugged in an power strip, so i could try use the outlet instead.

However, i did find a topic about previous lots haveing trouble with this: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=123484

So, maybe it is just the PSU getting overheated, even though mine is not from this lot, it does run hot, and i've not seen the fan kick in as of yet.

Yeah, definitely use the power outlet and see if you still get the random reboots/shutdown and if you do write to Corsair if it's normal when you fan is off, I have a Chieftec PSU and the fan is on pretty much all the time although I don't check regularly and don't need to.
