Improvements and suggestions. Urgent!

These are the parts I have selected for my friends computer. she will be getting this for her birthday. It will be mainly for gaming and College work. She will possibly be doing some video editing/rendering. I have chosen these components due to her being on a budget. If you could make and suggestions on improvements please only link products around the same price point or only slightly higher. Thanks for any replies and suggestions in advance. P.S I am not biased against Intel/AMD or ATI/Nvidia so any improvements from any brand would be great.

could you get a 650 boost  http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-180-MS or would that be too expensive also same for the likes of FX 4300  http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-339-AM or higher you will need a different mobo {AM3+} http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-350-GI

X79A GD65 (8D), 3820, 7770, 16GB (1600Mhz cas9), 850watt(ocz zx), storm trooper, h100, xonar xense, sp2500, pc350, asus PA248Q LG 22'' ips, razor black-widow ultimate 2013, 120GB intel 520 series 128GB crucial M4 2*3TB barracuda 2*1TB barracuda 2TB Hitachi

get a 7770, is way faster than a 650 in costs only a litte bit more.

The X4 740 is locked, the 750k for 10 bucks more is unlocked - if you want to overclock.

Athlon II 740 goes up to 3,7GHz, FX 4300 goes up to 4GHz. So 10% performance difference would cost 66% more. I would go with FM2. Athlon II 750K goes up to 4GHz also and costs only 62pound

its not all about clock speed its about architecture by your logic a 8350 would beat a 3970X

I don't think I will be overclocking this one so the Athlon II 750K won't be needed. Will switch out the 650 with the 7770 though. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys!

that just means there the same generation, doesn't mean there the same skews

they have the same core, exept the L3 cache. Athlon II 740/750k are APUs without the GPU part, A10/A8's

that means they are based on different dies and no two dies are the same. there different on the architecture level they dont just add more cache like a modular thing you can add as an after though its embedded in the die
