I recently bough a computer. Had tons of visual problems, did tons of troubleshooting, and so I returned the GPU. As soon as I took out that GPU, EVERYTHING started working. I have been playing all kinds of games for the past week and it works fine.

I install my new GPU, turn on, it works, install latest driver, restart, "no signal". Everything is plugged in correctly.

Now, what the heck is the problem?

Could the GPU power cables be broken?

Should I try a different PCIe lane?

My RAM is in the farthest slots away from the CPU, I just guess when I installed them, should I have done that? It looks like this: [CPU] [slot][RAM][slot][RAM]

EDIT: Just installed in the second PCIe lane. Now it works but everything is huge and black and white. So I try to install a different driver and it says that It cannot find compatible graphics hardware.

Please help. Thanks.

It isn't, I just double checked.

Maybe your GPU was DOA, try using it in another PC if you have one. Maybe use a different power connector from the PSU to the GPU. Check your MOBO's manual to see about the RAM and if you have it in the right spot. Is there enough power to even run the card?

Do you have another PC to test that GPU in? To simply insert it into another board and see if it works. if it does, your mobo is at fault. If it doesn't, you are one unlucky SOB and got another broken card :( .
