Megabit/s or Megabyte/s?

If it's 50 MB/s it's close to 1/2 of the NIC's full capability, so it's OK IMO

Spoiler

try putting a gigabit switch in between

i dont have one laying around but why do you thing that could fix it?

could be the NIC's getting confused / there is network collisions causing half of the data transmission to be lost. you have to think, since it is going down the same cable, the data has to go one way, right? disconnect your router from the WAN then use the LAN ports as a switch

do you have static ip adresses set up on both computers? and try using another cable

Derp... just realized you had the pc's directly connected...

Try manually setting speed and duplex. If that doesn't fix it I'd point you to your HDD's

done that but its still the same and localy my hdd's can reach 140 easily
