I was installing to windows 11 when my thinkpad was freezing on the screen and i do not know what to do, please help me

I heard the error i am having is driver related and i have updated all drivers + bios what should i do thank you

What's your Thinkpad more precisely ? Does it meet Win11 reqs ?

It supports win11, thinkpad X1 carbon gen 6

Ok, try to run the utility that checks W11 compatibility - PC Health check, it'll tell you if anything is wrong/missing

According to Microsoft its a common installation usually caused by a driver compatibility issue or 3rd-party software.

They recommend to update your drivers and remove 3rd party anti-virus programs.

 

Also disable Bitlocker if enabled.

was recurring problems with clean install on this model, it was Windows 11 Enterprise automated install

That error is often BIOS/driver related. I’d try turning off Secure Boot/Fast Boot, check SATA mode is AHCI, and unplug any extra usb devices. If nothing works, best option is to make a fresh Win11 usb and do a clean install, avoids most of these issues.
