Hi,

I have had this issue where my games get "lag spikes" when playing in fullscreen, and only fullscreen for multiple months now. This normally doesn't annoy me as I play competitive FPS shooters where the FPS is high enough not to notice the drops in fps (As far as I have concluded, they don't even occur in-game, only in the title menu/ lobby of these games). However, it is extremely noticeable in Souls-like games, as the FPS is capped at 60. I haven't tried any other games than Souls-like as I am not much for single-player, high-graphic games. Windowed-fullscreen or windowed works perfectly fine, but when I switch to normal Fullscreen, it stutters every once in a while, much like when you get super low 1% lows.

All my drivers are up to date, and I have a custom-built PC. Where are the specs:

  • 9800x3d
  • 4070 (I'm its one hell of a bottleneck, but as I have mentioned, I normally stick to CPU-bound FPS games)
  • Dual-Channel 32 GB CL26 RAM
  • My games are on a 2TB Gen 4 Kingston M.2.

There are no overheating issues and no cables loose (as far as I've been able to conclude). Has anyone else had a similar issue, ever? I can't seem to find any fix anywhere since it's such a random "bug" / issue.

I appreciate all the help I can get.
