What GPU should I get?

I want to do a GPU upgrade. I'm currently looking at the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the RX 9070 16 GB. The CPU I have is the Ryzen 5 7600X, and my current GPU is the RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB. In Australia, the price of the RX 9060 XT is $630 AUD, and the RX 9070 is $1,050 AUD. The price difference is about 70%, and the performance difference in games that I'm looking at playing is also about 70%. Is it worth spending 70% more for 70% more performance?

If its worth spending that much more is entirely up to you and what performance you want and if you are comfortable spending that amount of money.

The Ryzen 7600x is not going ot be a limiting factor if you play at 1440p or higher so get the fastest GPU you can, in my opinion.

Aside from budget, it also depends on what games you want to play

newer titles? Monster hunter / expedition 33 / poe 2 / etc
then I'd say it's worth the upgrade for sure

Just your same o'll same o'll games -> dota 2, lol, cod, csgo, osrs -> likely not nearly as worth the upgrade

if you have the money AND most importantly, are able to spend it without creating financial issues for yourself. then yes it is worth it to spend more on a better card. the 9070 will last you waay longer than the 9060xt will. so in the end, absolutely worth it

If you have the budget, go for the 9070, though it's worth noting that the 9070 isn't 70% faster than the 9060XT.

What did you end up with, and what are your experience with the AMD GPU? Kinda in the same boat, having an RTX3060 12GB, and perhaps looking for an upgrade before the prices go up again? Currently on holiday in the US and see that they have some good deals, especially on the AMD lineup compared to Norway.

I mainly play games like EA FC, Rocket League, Cities Skyline, Anno, Ostrive etc. on a 4K(140hzish) TV.
