Linux Arch + B580 Core23 Issue Fix

A note for all if you happen to be running Arch Linux with a B580 there is a GLIBC issue with Core 23 @muziqaz has it noted on the FAH Forum luckly and it's almost the same for Arch, just one directory difference. So for the script kitties like me out there it's the following to fix it. (I hope, waiting on another core23, will update/delete if doesn't work)   Update- It worked!

 

sudo rm /var/lib/fah-client/cores/openmm-core-23/centos-7.9.2009-64bit/release/fahcore-23-centos-7.9.2009-64bit-release-8.0.3/libstdc++.so.6

 

sudo ln -s /lib/libstdc++.so.6 /var/lib/fah-client/cores/openmm-core-23/centos-7.9.2009-64bit/release/fahcore-23-centos-7.9.2009-64bit-release-8.0.3/libstdc++.so.6

This fix works for core22, core23 and core24. core26 and core27 do not need this fix anymore.

Core26/27 require icd loader installation for nvidia users.

And also, nvidia forgot how to do drivers in past year, so a lot of issues coming out from their AI generated crap (aka their drivers)

Really? Since when? I had to do this fix for two systems recently. One for a Mint install (6700XT) 3 weeks ago and another for my Arch install today though that might be an older FAH package

issues with the cores have always been an, ehm, issue. That's why core26/27 were born. It is advised to just apply the ln -s fix to all cores, except core26/27, even if things seem to work. You never know when your distro updates to glibc version which is not compatible with what is bundled with the core

Awesome, Ill do that or never update anything ever again. EVER
