looking for keyboard recommandation

Go to solution Solved by SorryBella,

If you don't mind the software bloat, Corsair K70 and Razer Blackwidow V4 is a direct 1:1 replacement in overall features. People hate on it because well, its the same damn design from 2010s and the software can memory leak to 1GB for some user.

If you do mind it and dont mind losing the extra macro keys, Keychron Q6 has a full fat VIA support (which means you can reprogram via Vial and dont have to install anything), 4 reprogrammable button (which i do believe binds to media control by default? DQMOT), and a solid chassis to boot. The issue is that the knob version routinely goes out of stock everywhere, and their stock switches leaves a lot to be desired in feel.

My keyboard died after 9 years of loyal service. I'm looking for a replacement. I need macros like on my old keyboard, and I love the volume wheel and media functions. I also really like the placement of those keys. It also had Cherry Browns, so something similar would be great. What do you recommend
old keyboard used to be a km780 rgb by ripjaw discontinued =(

Probably have to go with a gamer brand one, since the hype in the mechanical keyboard scene is currently 75% and smaller. They even try to sell you squished and dysfunctional 96% layouts as full-size.

If you are willing to compromise on the buttons, Keychron Q6 or V6 in various options (pref. MAX), or Monsgeek M5. On the more expensive and DIY side of things you'd have something like a QK101, but there you will be missing a lot of keys compared to your macro monster.

Otherwise, if you are willing to shell out extreme amounts of money and have DIY inclinations and the willingness to repair things, this tank will last a lifetime (probably) and has more than enough keys: https://mechboards.co.uk/products/hyper-7-v4?variant=54984892416380

No volume wheels though.
