I'm looking to upgrade my memory from 16GB to 32GB, and im not sure if i need to be that picky about it for performance.

The cheapest Ive found so far is this whcih looks decent:

https://www.ebuyer.com/1138630-corsair-vengeance-lpx-32gb-ddr4-3200mhz-ram-desktop-memory-for-gaming-cmk32gx4m2e3200c16

or

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-VENGEANCE-2x16GB-3200MHz-Computer/dp/B07RW6Z692?sr=8-3

on amazon i can buy the 2x16GB option twice, which is cheaper than the 4x16GB option for some reason.

Is this ram good? I do gaming and have fast storage (NVMEs), not sure if that could make a difference to the speed of the ram I would want.

This is my MB in case its important:

CPU in case its important:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600KF

Also is it ok to mix and match, since i have 4x4GB currently, but they are at lower speeds than 3600mhz so that would bottleneck the new ram to the old ram speed right? The current speed is 2667 MT/s (according to `sudo dmidecode --type memory` on linux), so is that 1333.5 MHz?

From what I understand, it is ok to mix memory sticks, but each kit will run at the lowest stock's speed. There may be more downsides, but it is generally not recommended unless you are really tight on budget, or can somehow find an exact match to your current sticks.

Yea thast what i thought. I think ill just not mix since 32GB would be enough and the speed loss might be too much if ram speed is that important (not sure if it is)

on 12th gen Intel all you need is 3200MHz. Not until you go up to 14th gen where going DDR5 actually matters.

I really do recommend going 2x16 off the bat. Avoids all the heartache that could be the issue on buying 2 separate kits. If you buy a standard 4x8 kits, then sure maybe. But the cost against 2x16 is usually worse off, its a stupid idea to go for it most of the time.

Ah yea forgot to mention that, the 2x16GB is cheaper than 4x8GB. Didnt know about the speed and DDR5 thing so thats good to know. The lowest speed i can find is the 3200MHz anyway, with it being the cheapest aswell. So do you think the one I linked (CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX) is fine? If so im happy to buy that now, i just wasnt sure if there was anything else i needed to consider.
