Budget (including currency): max 600€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: for now 1080p but i want to buy a 1440P monitor in near future. but it will be used for gaming mostly

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I currently have a rtx2060 but with the newer games 6gb vram but i will need to replace it soon because the 2060 will go into another build. i already did some research and my conclusion is either get the 7900GRE(600€) or just get the intel B580 for 300€. I dont need super high FPS or everything at ultra

The 7900 GRE and Intel B580 are so far apart in performance that this is a very strange take in my opinion.

If you plan on getting a 1440p monitor then I would highly suggest getting a faster GPU than the B580.

You don't have to go with a 7900 GRE and spend your entire budget however.
A Radeon 7800 XT or 4070 Super will do nicely at 1440p 🙂

Really comes down to the games and what feature you want.
i would say look around to see which brand works better for the games you play.

At the moment:
Best price: Intel B580 but your games may not work well with it and may need to wait for more driver updates from intel.
If you care more about Ray=tracing, AI upscaling etc then it will be the RTX4060ti 16gb / 4070.
Middle ground, i would say the 7700xt / 7800xt

B580 isn't it a good 1440p GPU

7900gre is, and can handle some 4k

If its purely just for gaming, and no content creation or rendering and such, yeah 7900GRE is a great 1440p/4k card.

But you can also get away with a 7700xt and a 7800xt, they're pretty good 1440p cards.

I say, go for the 7900GRE, just to make sure you can play any game, no matter how crappily the game is optimized.
