Well, depends on what case you have.
If you have a mid tower atx, should be fine, just make sure you take the pcie covers off, and try to fit it in.

Just a little more information would really help a lot.  What motherboard do you have and what video card do you have?  That information would help a bunch when trying to figure out what is going on, or not going on, whichever the case may be.

These are difficult because we can assure you a modern GPU fits in a modern motherboard, no questions asked. The problem is generally due to the case and the users inexperience with fiddling around with minor case fitment issues to get it slotted in. Worse comes to worse you remove the board from the case and it may help you figure out why its misaligned.
