Hi everyone I've just installed my new cpu ryzen 5 5600x and the idle temps don't look to great compared to others I've read online. Am I doing something wrong. Installing the cooler is not difficult it's only two screws, I turned each screw 3 times going from one to the other evenly so don't see how it could be that. Am I applying enough or to much thermal paste used the spread method. Another wierd thing is my fans don't seem to speed up in icue the sensors say they are but it used to sound like a jet engine when put on max now it doesn't seem like they make a whisper still all spinning and can control the rgb using a thermalrite assassin king 120 SE air cooler.IMG_1095.thumb.jpeg.e4448075d48e37b32038f0be6f06bfb3.jpeg

That's plenty of paste.

Also, the idle temp is completely irrelevant, what matters is the load temps. As long as your CPU isn't overheating under load, it's completely fine.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.
