I need a Bluetooth dongle to game with using controllers.

I used to have the Asus bt500 but for some reason it started to have huge problems with it randomly disconnecting and tried everything to fix it to no avail. if there are any fixes you can recommend please tell! i tried to delete the drivers and then update it (got the drivers from ASUS) and it doesnt work. tried to move the dongle to a new spot and nothing. any help is appreciated!

Do I just buy the cheapest dongles or do I go for a specific brand?

Desktop or laptop?  Because the most reliable generally are Intel WiFi cards with antennas you can put on top or in front of your case.  Dongles have tiny antennas and tend to be very directional, making the chance of drop outs much higher.

The dongle I had overheated and died.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)

PC. you think getting one with an antennae will be a better pick?

If you want to just get a basic Intel AX200 PCIe WiFi adapter then you can find people selling the antennas that come with high-end motherboards on eBay.  May work out cheaper as the cards bundled with the better antennas seem to be overpriced.
