So I have my computer connected to another computer via direct connect 2.5G adapters, and another 2.5G adapter that goes to the house Lan/Internet. TLDR I have direct connect cus my router has only one 2.5G port and dont want to buy a new Hub.

Today just randomly transferring about 100GB over the link it was at Gigabit speeds 110 ish MB's. I had Brave open and watching a twitch stream, I closed the stream and the transfer shot up to 200-220MB/s where it should be.
whats the deal?

Side issue I dont really care about is if I open a new stream or even a clip to another monitor the two streams lag and hitch/stop. something related to hardware acceleration ?

Very Odd, should I just buy a 2.5G - 5G Hub or maybe buy two 10G cards and use as the direct link and hope for speeds of 300-400MB's  ?
