Intel 14700kf won’t boost over 4,56ghz

Hi,

my intel 14700kf won’t boost over 4,56ghz during stress test.

my specs are:

intel i7 14700kf

asus pro art b760 ddr4

 

any ideas?

Should be ok, no throotling max temp reached 74c, since nothing worked i also tried intel baseline profile setting, but that changed nothing

single core does reach 5,5ghz, multi corr 4,56ghz.

but i am new to intel so maybe it’s normal?

I suspect power limit, what's your power consumption (in HWInfo64) ?

That’s how it looks like

during cinebench mostly stays at: 215-222w

max was 241w

Yeah, it's limited, it can go to 300W+, tweak BIOS settings

Not sure, I'm on AMD and get more powaaaa than that at 150W 😛

Look at the PL options you have in BIOS

The real question is, does it matter for your use case?

 

Pushing more power to get better Cinebench scores is pointless if you're never going to max out every core at the same time in real world usage.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
