dead motherboard/cpu

my pc finally cracked it when I left it running for a few days I've narrowed it down to being ither the CPU or the motherboard and am ready to buy a new one I'm just wondering if someone with a bit more knowledge, brains and good looks could help me narrow it down before I go and buy both.

the pc consists of a

:i5 11400f which I've reseated numerus times and n bent pins

:Z590 D with no obvious signs of shorts/flashovers or degraded component's

:for ram I've got some mix mashed sticks but I've tried some from multiple different computer's and said computer's work with mine so id don't think its really a consideration

:gpu is a rx6600 which also works when hooked up in other computer's

:and the psu is also negligible having used three different power supply's and trying mine in a different computer

:I've got some lian le case but I've tried it with out a ground and hooked straight to ground

looking at the motherboard there's a CPU light on and I've tried a few diagnostic beepers and none of them have made a sound.  I'm ready to hear that I there's no way to tell what's cactus without finding someone with a similar rig and trying both components' but if there is a way ide love to hear it thanks for any suggestion's you guys have.

In case a CMOS reset doesn't fix it, you can try updating the BIOS via Q-Flash Plus, which your board supports.

You can download the newest BIOS here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z590-D-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios

Thanks guys I've tried both a CMOS reset and just one stick of ram. The bios update sounds like a cracker I'll have to try that next. chears
