Hello, I'm trying to install windows 10 to my old pc, but I'm stuck at the "loading" screen right after choosing whether I want to install windows 64 bit or 32. I tried running Linus Mint from my USB and it worked, but I hadn't tried installing it to the pc itself to see if the same thing happens, but yeah.

I updated the bios, took the cmos battery out then back in. I'm quite lost actually. I haven't tried reseating hardware yet, but do let me know if I should do so and any other steps that may be relevant. Advance thanks to any helpers.

Specs is

i5 7500

gtx 1060

b250 pro4

Using old hdds for this build from 2016 and older, that actually do work

and that's all that should matter?

CSM disabled or enabled?

CSM setting in BIOS are all on "Legacy Only". Then after save & exit, boot manager, I chose "USB passport" over "UEFI passport".

I also used Windows Media Creation Tool because Rufus has all that MBR or GPT thing which adds variables that I know not of.
