Hi guys! So I have a normal 5800x in my gaming pc, and I was just wondering if I should have gone with the 5800x3d, from what I've herd it's not worth it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-Core Processor

Memory: 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4

SSD: WD_BLACK SN770 1TB

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12G oc

Motherboard: Asus Prime B-450 A2

Case: MuseTex k2 Mid Tower

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster S27D360

Keyboard: Razer Onata

Mouse: Razer Viper

Ender 5 pro 3d printer

Dji mini 3

Flight hotas x52

Fender Squire SSH stratocaster

Depends on your other system specs. Unless you’re using something like a 4070 ti at 1080p I’d say you’re fine

What could I improve on my system though? I got the GPU for Christmas last year, and I got the ram in February. The only thing I was thinking about the fact that I could upgrade my displays (they're samsung syncmasters)

Is your system performing up to your standards? If it is I don’t see any reason to upgrade. Maybe upgrade your monitor to a high refresh rate one. What’s your budget for the upgrade?

Like @filpo says, if the machine is running how you want... no need to upgrade.

 

Now if you're just looking to upgrade for upgrade's sake... there are a lot of components better/faster than what you have currently.  But we need more info to figure out what would make the most sense.

 

Full specs, games played, apps used, resolution, preferred settings, etc etc etc.
