Hi gang!

I am trying to rescue a BIOS but I can't my USB to work. SUPER TECH TIP FUN!

I have a Kingston DataTraveler. I have formatted it into FAT32 fine but it won't let me copy any files to it claiming it is write protected. Diskpart tells me it isn't write protected. I have reformatted a couple of times with no write protected errors, but still cannot move any files onto it.

Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

If diskpart doesn't have the read only attribute set then it's probably because the Drive itself detected an error and put itself into a read-only state to preserve data. If this is the case then the drive is dead.
