I'm new to all this so I didn't know where to post this but its sorta hard to find an answer online. I have a Ryzen 9 7900x and a 4070ti all powered by a high power 800w 80+gold PSU right now. But if i ever want to upgrade to a 4080 or a 7900xtx would that be possible? I'm not to savvy with computers and don't understand all the wattage stuff.

What exact High Power 800w are you using?
800w is fine for a 7900x and a 4080/7900XTX 🙂

the brand is High power performance. I've never heard of it before but I was able to find it on newegg i think. My computer is a prebuilt so i never saw the box nor have i actually looked at my psu. Thanks for the help tho!

Should be alright. There are a few High Power Performance models like the Pro or GD lineup.

Both should be fine but the GD being the better of the two.

800w is plenty enough for that setup anyways 🙂

Nothing to worry about.

I run a 750w on my 7700x and overclocked RTX 4080 and I see around 400-420w system power usage during heavy gaming.
