AMD 5800X (Custom loop cooling)
Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

32GB DDR4 3200 Trident Royal
RTX 3070

2x M.2 (970 EVO 980 PRO)

2x HDD (2TB 4TB)
O-11 Dynamic Razer Edition
G-skill 850W PSU 80+ Gold

A few months back I tried turning on the PC and the initial bios screen had a message "USB over current detected. System will shut down in 15 seconds". Tried troubleshooting by updating to newest bios and disconnected all cables from the motherboard except 24pin and power for CPU and GPU but the same message came up. Replaced the motherboard and everything was fine for a few months of daily use. Then it happened again this morning. Put a different PSU in it and disconnected all cables again but it still came up with the same USB over current detection message. So now I have 2 Dark Hero boards with the error that I don't know what to do with. I have a feeling I need to go scorched earth approach and replace the MB, PSU, and all USB devices and peripherals. And if it's a different case, not sure if my res will still fit being it's the distro plate that goes where the fans normally are fans on the 0-11 It sucks to just write off all of the devices if the issue is just with one. Any way to know without putting another system at risk? It's a lot of money to drop and it's not even an upgrade lol just trying to fix an otherwise solid PC.
