What is the best (not super expensive) PWM fan hub for around 6 fans and 2 cpu fans? also should i plug the 2 cpu fans into the cpu fan header using a splitter, or into the hub? I'm going to buy the Pur base 500DX case, and i'm also wondering how many fans can i mount in the front and top, because its a bit confusing from the images

I have the Deepcool FH-10 and it has been working great. I would plug all fans to the hub then connect the hub's PWM wire to the cpu fan header.

From the case specs of the product page:

Maximum fan installation

Maximum fans 6
Top (mm) 2x 120 / 2x 140
Front (mm) 3x 120 / 2x 140
Side (mm) -
Rear (mm) 1x 140
Bottom (mm) -
PSU shroud

Control all fans using motherboard fan headers. The two CPU fans should probably be run off the same header so they follow the same profile. The second CPU fan header can be used for case fans.

Most motherboards include a fan configuration and control utility.

idk, then it would look kinda ugly, and i just found this arctic PWM fan hub, which seems to be pretty good, should i buy it?

plugging the fans directly into the motherboard, then i would see the cables + i would have to use splitters, because mobo only has 3 fan headers

Three fan headers is more than enough. It makes sense to collect the cables from adjacent fans onto one splitter. That way a single fan profile can control those fans.

Frankly, you only need the three stock fans, (2 front, 1 rear), which could be run off a single header to provide positive air pressure.

i mean yeah, but it still looks ugly, and the fan hub that i found is literally 9$, so i don't see a reason not to use it

A single fan cable to the motherboard vs a single fan hub cable to the motherboard? 😄 You cannot eliminate the fan cable if you want to be able to control fan speed.

Most of the fan cabling should be hidden behind the motherboard.

yeah didn't think about that, but the thing is, the splitter would cost more than the fan hub, so imma buy it anyway
