Hi,

I am running what I think to be a fast internet connection that works fine and great gaming PC(I'm told). But as soon as I stream my game (Warzone), my download and upload speed drops to 6-10mbps. This causes my stream to really lag and disconnect me. I figure it is a throttling issue with my ISP(Bell Fibre Residential), as I believe I have the correct hardware and programs(OBS) to run a game and stream it without dropping? Should I get a commercial ISP account? It doesn't seem to matter what time I actually try it always does this. Please see below my most recent speed test and my PC specs:

PC: i9 13900K, 4090, 64 gb ram 5600mhz, 2 tb hard drive. Internet:

ISP: Bell Fibre 1.5gbps Download, 950mbps Upload.

Thanks for any help.

I can stream without issues on a 60mbps/10mbps connection with a teenager accessing internet at the same time. Bell can certainly do better with that plan.

First, it is possible that the platform you are using is limited in speed. For example, Twitch seems to be limited at 6mpbs for regular accounts, but it is more than enough to stream a game at 1080p.

Also, make sure that your computer outputting enough fps to feed the stream. If you are streaming at 60 fps but your computer can only deliver 40-50 fps while gaming, your stream is underfed and can be a reason to disconnect you.

On the other hand, if your computer is outputting way more fps than needed, try limiting your fps. You'll save on resources and gain in stability.

Lastly, I know it is not the best user experience but you can call tech support at Bell and ask for a solution. Tell them you think your super-fast is being throttled when you try to stream and if they can do something about it.

Hope that helps !
