As the title implies, I am making a Steam server for my home. I want to be able to have the server set up so that I don't have to download the games from the internet each time I want to put them on. I have limited drive space in my computers. I have steam on the server set to automatically keep all my games updated on the server. I will be connecting multiple computers to this server that will all be pulling updates for games from it.

Questions:

1. Should I get a NAS style HDD for the extra cost? I don't think that I will be hitting the disk much at all.

2. 5400 RPM drive(s) should be good enough, correct?

3. I am torn between WD and Seagate. Any reason why I should go with one other than the other (besides difference of cost)?
