Programs: Blender, Java, Python (I am a software engineer and render artist (make models and short animations))

Other details:

1. Good headset with microphone that does not look very flashy with RGB, just care about the sound and quality. (I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse)

2. I don't care about RBB in the PC as long as there is tempered glass and you can see the inside it is good enough for me.

I've been told that Nvidia gpus are still the better choice for Blender.

 

edit: an Rmx shift psu might not fit in every case without cables bending. See my post below.

 

If it's a 40-series GPU, then I'm guessing a Corsair Rmx Shift psu is a good idea since it's ATX 3 and comes with a 12vhpwr cord. It's also an A-tier PSU on a psu tier list. I'm getting an 850w one on sale and it's not that expensive imo. Though maybe your might need bigger?

Just make sure it's the "Rmx Shift" version, and not just Rmx.

 

As for specifics, I'm not sure exactly what you'll need but for Blender I imagine lots of VRAM will be important, so get a good gpu. Which may require lots of power and good cooling.

 

I wonder if a color accurate monitor is important for being a render artist. Tho I don't know if that would conflict with a high resolution high refresh rate gaming monitor.

So for an Rmx shift psu, because of its sideways-cable design, it might not fit in all cases without bending the cables or having to force the side panel on or bulging the side panel.

 

 

 

Corsair's website says at least 30mm clearance between the edge of this PSU and the side panel is needed.

 

 

 

Someone on Reddit got away with only 25mm (tho with a little more cable bend than I'd personally like but I guess it worked for them).
