I recently changed my processor from a 3700x to a 4500, because the 3700x died and I needed a cheap processor while I changed my complete configuration.

Since changing processors, my PC has had micro freezes, both in games and audio.

A bit like the video here:

except that the cause isn't the tpm because I've tried without it and I still have the problem.

As soon as the load on the PC increases a bit, it causes screen+audio freezes.

Here's my config:

X570-F (bios 4408)
Ryzen 5 4500
Evga rtx 2070 xc ultra (546.01)
2x8Gb g.skill trident z Neo 3600Mhz
SSD Nvme 970
SSD 860

I did try a few things, though:

- RAM: memtest OK
- reinstall windows
- maj nvidia drivers
- maj amd driver
- tpm desactivation
- clear cmos

Nothing to solve the problem.

If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear from you.

Can you try setting the memory speed to 3200 MHz ? Sometimes those low powered processors have limited memory managers that kind of temporarily bottleneck your system from time to time. It is possible that this won't solve your issue, but it won't harm your system and is easy to roll back.

You can find the memory settings and timings into the BIOS.

Good luck !

That CPU is a significant downgrade; it has 1/3rd of the pci bandwidth of your 3700x so it doesn't surprise me that you're encountering stutters.  Less PCI-X lanes, going from PCI 4.0 to 3.0 and 1/4 of the L3 cache.  Good.  Fast.  Cheap.  (You can only pick two).

Thank you for your answers, so if I understand correctly I'll have to stay with these micro freezes? because on the video above it's a short moment but I get it every 2/3 seconds.

When I'm on Diablo 4, it happens very often and I think it's a lot?

As soon as I play a greedy game, it happens. And when I activate maximum gpu performance in the nvidia panel, the problem is even more present.
