Hello.. I got a new monitor in the mail yesterday (G2723HN.. it was super cheap). For the life of me I cannot get it to work on display port. Tried 3 cables and 2 PCs so far.

I tried the PC I bought it for (Lenovo M710q i3-7100T iGPU), and then an old one I had laying around with a R7 265. Nether work. I could try my main PC (2080 Ti), but it would be super duper annoying to set it up.

Safe to say the port is dead? 😕

Dell G2723HN supports both DisplayPort 1.2 connectivity with your personal computer. If the video or graphics card (GPU) on your personal computer supports DisplayPort 1.2, it is required to change the monitor to DisplayPort 1.2 mode.

Note: The default factory setting on the Dell G2723HN is DisplayPort 1.2 (DP1.2).
  1. Press on the joystick (Figure 9) on the monitor to enter the On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu.
  2. Press up or down to highlight Input Source in the menu and press on the joystick to select.
  3. Press up or down to highlight DP in the menu.
  4. Press and hold on the joystick for approximately 10 s until the DisplayPort configuration message appears.

Does not work at all. Config doesn't even come up 😕
