Needing a new case

Schmarvin

Hey everyone, I'm here for opinions and suggestions.

Currently I'm running with an Antec P280 Super Tower case. A great case, got it on sale for about $70 about a year ago. Here is the problem:  its huge. I know it was big when I bought it, and I love it, but I just don't need the size anymore. I've pushed majority of my drives to my home server. So I just don't need the extra space inside anymore.

Now, I'm looking for a midsize case for my rig. I was looking at the Corsair 330D. Its nice and quiet. My cut-off on budget is $100. If I could spend reasonably under that, lets say around $75, that'd be amazing. Doesn't necessarily have to be quiet. But, I'd like it much smaller than what I have now. Height of my Antec P280 is about 22 inches. I need a case 19 inches or less. Would like for it to have the turned drive cages so as I don't have to fight to take my drives out to replace them. A hot-swap bay would be nice for a 3.5" drive, but it isn't required.

Lastly, no huge plastic fronts or bezels. I hate cases that are 90% plastic with a thin aluminum interior frame.

450D?

Looks like a nice case. A little over my budget and cutting it close to 20 inches in height.

Two things wrong with this. One, I'm moving away from large cases, I don't need them. Hence why I have a P280 and want something smaller. Secondly both of those you suggested blow out my budget.

If you can't pay up for the 450D, the Arc Midi R2 from Fractal is in your budget with almost the same functionality, you just lose the BEAUTIFUL aluminium front of Obsidian cases.
