Ive been wanting to get a watch, especially for fitness tracking, and ive found possible the 2 contenders, the PineTime and the Bangle.js 2. Ive done some reasearch but im not sure what the best option for me is. The price doesnt really matter.

The bangle.js 2 only has 176x176 3 bit colour screen, which even the bangle.js 1 had 240x240 16bit and so does the pinetime. Although im not too bothered about the screen (tho a better screen would've been nice)

One of the selling points of bangle.js is the ability to install and make your own apps using javascript. This is appealing because it seems on the pine watch you have to either install another os from the defualt one or bake apps into

the firm ware and then install that firmware? https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=14015

Overall my main concern is privacy, especially with GPS location. The pine time doesn't have a GPS but i would like one to use maps/location.

My secondary concern is using it as a fitness tracker as i plan to go the the gym after i go back to uni in late-ish september.

Does anyone have both and could help me decide? What are the differences? Do you prefer one over the other?

Edit: Also sorry if this is in the wrong category but theres no 'Watch' or Wearables category
