PSU Upgrade

ye it should. tbh the 40 series are actually decently power efficient and the 4080 only draws as much as a 3080 (I say only). If we do 350 at peak + 150 for a really power hungry cpu that gets to 600W + mobo (100 about) and ssds that gets to around 700W. However this is under full system synthetic load and isn't realistic as your never gonna push every single component in a system at 100%.

 

But if you want some leeway I would get this thermaltake unit (its a pretty good price for a 1050W) Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GF A3 1050 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (PS-TPD-1050FNFAGU-L) - PCPartPicker
If its too much then get this 850w Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GF A3 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (PS-TPD-0850FNFAGU-L) - PCPartPicker

Heyo, im interested in buying an RTX 4080 because i have money to spend ^^" 

 

On the original RTX 4080 site it says that a 750W PSU is recommended, but at Palit's site for the RTX 4080 GamingPro they recommend 850W. The Price difference between  750W and 850W is quite something and i just want to know if i really need that extra 100W for my new card.

Ryzen 5 7600 
Cosair Vengeance DDR5-5600 
M.2 Samsung Evo Plus 250Gb
RTX 3060 
600W PSU from be quiet

When is the question here. Honestly for 4080 thats on knives edge of it shutting off the second it hits more than 60-100% load, but 4070 might be less of a stretch.

I dont plan to use my 600W PSU... i dont know why the other guy was asking for my old one. 

Im not that stupid to run a 4080 with 600W lol 😄

i was looking at this one because it got the 12VHPWR Connector via a single cable and not these adapter thingys, you know what i mean these 3 times 4 Pin or something. Thats kinda weird in my book.

Thats a good PSU. 750w is plenty for the 4080 🙂
