PSU Upgrade
Just now, Ronnmann said:I am planning to upgrad my cpu in the coming years to something like a Ryzen 7 or so like i did with my old build over the years. (i3 to i5 to i7)
Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 7 later i guess. Am i good with 750 Watts with that aswell?
ye it should. tbh the 40 series are actually decently power efficient and the 4080 only draws as much as a 3080 (I say only). If we do 350 at peak + 150 for a really power hungry cpu that gets to 600W + mobo (100 about) and ssds that gets to around 700W. However this is under full system synthetic load and isn't realistic as your never gonna push every single component in a system at 100%.
But if you want some leeway I would get this thermaltake unit (its a pretty good price for a 1050W) Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GF A3 1050 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (PS-TPD-1050FNFAGU-L) - PCPartPicker
If its too much then get this 850w Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GF A3 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (PS-TPD-0850FNFAGU-L) - PCPartPicker
