Hey guys so I'm looking to upgrade from my GTX 1660 non super this summer(preferably in the next month or two) since the 1660 just isn't able to handle gaming and streaming at the same time and I have a $400-$500ish budget and I've been eyeing up the RTX 3060 for a while since it is available at an okay price here in India Compared to other cards, but with this new announcement of the 4060 series I'm stuck in a big dilemma on what I should do, was hoping I could get some advice here.
I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 gigs of 3200Mhz ram and a 550w power supply.
Thanks :)

I'd recommend saving up some more and building a new system if you're planning on doing streaming and gaming. Any new GPU at $400-$500 is going to be held back by a Ryzen 3600, and you'd need a power supply upgrade for.

I'd recommending saving up about $1000-1500 and looking back at the market, ideally when Radeon RX 7000 series mid tier GPUs come out so you can potentially buy a price chopped RTX 4000 series or RX 7600 XT, etc.

Builder/Enthusiast/Overclocker since 2012 with a focus on SFF/ITX since 2014.

as a streamer you probably want nvidia yes, there are ways with amd but nvidia is simpler.

a 3060 simply isnt worth it. i hate to say it but for you if you want to only spend between that the 4060ti (WITH 16GB!) might be worth it. as it will come out for 500 bucks but... that is a lot of money you can totally spend on something else instead..
however just to telll you i dont know for how long it still lasts but i do see a 6800xt for 510 bucks on newegg. and with the h265 encoder it really isnt that bad,

But if you most buy nvidia then there really isnt anything great new.. and the 4060ti just sucks compared to the 6800xt in performance. and value.
