I need help building a computer

Go to solution Solved by Why_Me,

2x8GB DDR3 1600, DeepCool AG400 cpu cooler. To be honest I would build a new PC with your budget instead of investing money in your current PC.  What country are you located and what is the primary uses of your PC?

Budget (including currency): 1000$ I probably will only spend up to 500 on the list below

Country: USA

Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: mostly rust on above-average graphics but also fps games like cod

Other details I currently need a GPU, CPU FAN, memory, solid-state drive storage

i have a asus b85m-e mother board lga 1150, 600w psu , intel i5 4460, 8gb of ddr3 ram{need 16}

If you really want to keet the cpu, just get whatever ddr3 you can find used. you don't need a great cpu cooler for that either, but if you want something future proof, thermalright peerless assassin is a great value choice. With that platform you'd have to get a sata ssd, since it doesn't support nvme. Basically just find a good price to capacity ratio drive from a reputable brand and you're good to go. For the gpu, I'd look for a deal on an rx 6000 series part like the 6800. Technically amd recommends a 650w psu for that, but if your current one isn't trash, you'll be fine.
