If Labs can test a tray or even 10 boxed units, could LTTstore sell the units as used (from testing?)?

I used to buy CPUs from someone on XtremeSystems that would by a tray and go through them looking for a good overclocker, and sell the rest.

Any chance of this happening in the future?

Unless they sell them at a massive markup, that sounds like a very poor use of time and resources.

Roman really knows his stuff, glad to see this brought back up for people to see. Every CPU is different and will perform differently for varied reasons. I'm so glad he touched on the topic of getting all your info from varied sources too, something i've harped on about since the start of my computer building days.

How so?

I see this as an addition to a review and good long term lab data.

It is cost prohibitive for a review to order multiple units and test them all.  But if you can recoup most of the cost of multiple CPUs/GPUs, suddenly it becomes a possibility.  Automated testing makes the process scalable.

And if people are ordering a used CPU, why not a T-Shirt and screwdriver at the same time?  Why not a Mobo, and PSU etc as well?
