Laptop freezes Up

My laptop regularly freezes or just stops working out of nowhere. Most oftentimes, I've noticed this happens when I just pause a YouTube or Netflix videos and the like.

 

Does anyone else have this issue? Or is it probably a software/hardware issue on my side.

 

For context it's an Acer  Aspire E14 , and it's definitely been over three years at this point. I've upgraded it to just 8gb of storage since that's all I could afford at the time.
