Bluray Storage question

Hello all,

I have just started my adventure into Blu-ray collection, mainly focusing on various cartoons. Up until now I have been copying them onto a 2TB Inland NVMe drive that is currently in my main Windows PC that I share on my local Intranet. I am looking to expand this storage, most likely onto a HDD. I am wondering if it would be better for me to build or obtain a purpose built NAS, just put them on an external enclosure and have them available through USB on an old Laptop, or have it continue to live inside my gaming rig. I also am copying over the whole disc as a backup instead of as individual episodes. I feel kind of lost on where to go and what my best course of action is. I dont fully understand most of the network side of tech. Any help would be appreciated.
