-NZXT cases are hotboxes

-that’s too much for a PC with an 11400f, it’s outdated too- try to fit a 13400 and ideally a 3080 12gb in your budget if you can. HW Legacy is gonna do better with a faster GPU and it needs a solid CPU to minimize stuttering as it’s a very poorly optimized game and stutters even with some really good CPUs. Also, forget abt playing it on anything less than 32gb ram- it’s actually crazy bad with ram usage

Try and look for some better ITX cases in the vid below and a slightly bigger and better CPU cooler like the arctic freezer 240. you should also be able to fit a 12400 in there and a good mobo as well with that budget

Yeah youre about to be brought to town. This is something that i would build, but of course dont fault the configurator youre being quoted on, computer stores like to quote older SKUs to clueless buyers to make sure they can clear stock.

If you want to get closer to a 1400+5%, go for the Magniumgear Neo G for 10$ less. But honestly NX260 is a very solid case and at that price i cant resist.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that a local shop is building this PC for me. And I am clueless with it comes to PC building 😞

Id love to know what they charge for a day labor to build the PC for you instead. I understood not wanting to build it on your own, but if you do have the weekend to spare, you can definitely do it with a good guide, patience, and a #2 Philips screwdriver, learning new skills along the way.

Thank you, I checked it out but I see red warning above the list saying: " Compatibility: Warning! These parts have potential issues or incompatibilities". This looks like such an awesome tool, but I wouldn't know what to do with this warning and how to fix to ensure all part are compatible.

With my luck, I'll probably end up in the same predicament as xQc and he looks like he has an inkling about computers. I just play the games and am a designer by the day so I thought trusting a pro would be the way to go. Micro Center is not in Florida unfortunately as that was my first option.

It’s just a bios update which should be easy to do on a board with bios flashback

xQc only has inkling in dealing with the most warzone-like twitch chat. But to be very fair to him he is a very fast learner when someone with bigger knowledge is in the same room.

But as i say, anyone can build a PC. A lot of computer stores have this same labor-only charges, not just microcenter. Bringing a build list itself would give you far more advantage in value compared to those that play game of russian trust with their computer stores.

You can scroll down to see the details of these "potential issues". In this list its quite simple, its the B660 chipset motherboard having a possibility to be shipped an older version of the motherboard BIOS (its internal operating system, basically) that isnt compatible with Intel 13th gen CPU. You can update it through BIOS flashback function is available, or again, some computer stores would actually do BIOS update service with their own CPUs.

Thanks a lot for the valuable tips. At this point, the trust is gone. I will just give him the old "thanks, but no thanks" and look around for another builder and provide them with a build list and see how much over it would put me with their labor cost. Any ideas what a fair cost would be in this industry?

Varies a lot depending on their qualification, what extras do they do, and if they have minimum items clause where you need to buy things from their store instead of going all external stores. I usually find 50-150$ including an unactivated copy of Windows (ThioJoe made a simple explainer on the whole windows activation deal, but basically youre only locked off from personalization options such as account picture without microsoft account, accent colors, wallpapers without using "set image as desktop background" function in browsers, etc.) to be the market rates, but the lower the better unless they backed it up with some kind of store warranty.

Should I go with Win 10 as Hogwarts Legacy and WoW both recommend or Win 11 should do fine as well?

I go with the included stock cooler. But yeah, itll go loud as all get out for good internal case usage, if you want to go and throw 30 more bucks, go for the AK400 by Deepcool instead.
