I just cannot acces my shared folders from my laptop.

The folders are shared from my windows 10 desktop and are showing up on the windows 11 laptop but i cannot open them i followed a tutorial to share the folders. Pls help

This was the tutorial i followed:https://youtu.be/kkhuqPDhDH4

Do You use Microsoft account as The main login your PC?. If yes Create a second user without MS account and Give that account Read/Write acces.

You could also try going into Settings, Network, Advanced Network settings, Advanced sharing settings And toggle printer and file sharing ON

Change the Network type to Private in your laptop and desktop if they are not setupped like that You could change it by going into The Network settings and clicking the network you are currently on (You want to use the nas)

I kinda figured it out, i had missed the step to click "Add" after selecting everyone on the sharing dialogue box.

Thanks for the solution anyways, the networks were private and printer and file sharing were also on
