Hi, I helped a friend build his pc, his spec is i7-8700k, asus z370-p, 16 gb ram,450w psu. CPU and Mobo is from me so i know they worked before. After fresh windows install his audio got messed up and can only be heard from one side, when plugged into the front jack audio can only be heard from the left side, when plugged on the rear jack it can only be heard on the right side, I have checked the cord, it worked normally on my pc, also tested my headset on his pc and got the same problem. Tried to do the update driver through device manager and balance both side on the sound control menu, also tried to uninstall the audio drive and installed another one from mobo website and realtek website themself also went through the asus realtek audio manager setting and still couldn't get it to work, I even reinstalled windows 10. and at this point on thinking that it might be damaged audio chipset on the moba, am planning on getting a sound card usb but not sure that will it fix my friend issues, any type of tips help.
