I am upgrading my PC to a 5800x3D and either 7900xt or 7900xtx, most of the power consumption calculation websites say that 850W psu would be enough. 

just wanted a second opinion, i would also have to upgarde my PSU to  an 850W and this would be the final upgrade for this PC.

As long as its a good PSU then yes.

That doesn't mean much as a bad manufacturer will simply lie, its the make and model which is relevant.

I'd recommend using the stickied tier list in the forum as different models have different quality, though from those brands I'd be surprised if one was rated Gold and not a good one. 😉
