Cpu went 100% when full scanning

Go to solution Solved by Budget DIY,

Your software needs unlimited power, to check for stuffs. Hence your CPU trying it's best to give infinite power. It's ok, if it returns back to normal, when the checks are done.

Hello, i dont know if this the right thread to ask this but is it normal for a cpu to go full load during full scan ?

My pc suddenly wont load windows correctly when i open. So i restarted and it went fine but i suspicious if there is a virus so i ran a virus scan.

I got i5 12400 with se 212 xt cooler and gigabyte ds3h b660. When i full scan it went 100% with 78°C for 30 mins.

So i wonder if its normal for a cpu to get full load during virus scan ? I saw on internet its okay but it was i5 6th gen at that time.
