Budget (including currency): Roughly $2000 USD, give or take 100-200 dollars (separate budget for peripherals)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Currently playing Rainbow Six Siege, Minecraft, Monster Hunter, MW2, a lot of excel, studying game design and coding on the side as well (I am a CompE. major.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Never had my own PC and have never assembled one. I know I'll have to dedicate a good portion of time to assemble it but I am not too intimidated by the task. I have most recently been looking into building a PC using AM5, which I am aware is very new and mobo and ram are quite expensive, let alone the CPU. I am hoping to get the Ryzen 7 7700X, and luckily I am only about 10 miles away from a MicroCenter, who are giving a deal for free 32gb of DDR5 ram if I were to purchase the R7 7700X, so that would save 150-200USD. If I were to go with an AM5 build and this specific CPU, what would be an ideal GPU? I am well aware about prices rn, so I will be taking that into account. The 4070 ti released very recently, but I have seen very mixed opinions on it. 4080 would have been great, but I can't find any decently prices ones. Any other options, I know AMD has some options as well. I wish to play on 1080p most of the time, mayybeee 4K if its something like Monster Hunter. I might buy a 144hz monitor I'm not sure. Also any help with cooling options? I legitimately do not know what to go with. This is my first ever forum post, thanks for the advice!

This Pc is pretty good! If you wanted to play Minecraft with ray tracing the RTX 4070ti will handle it well. This pc should last you for a long time. I added RGB fans. If you don't want RBG then here is some other options

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LmCFf7/arctic-p12-pst-563-cfm-120-mm-fans-5-pack-acfan00137a

make sure to get its fan hub

Productivity and gaming is balanced with this PC but it's more optimized for gaming! Productivity will be great too!

I just realized 1000 watts is overkill oops!

750-850 psu should be enough!

Thanks so much for the advice! I've heard great things about 13th gen for intel, and it'll allow for me to buy a mobo that's 200 or below and cheaper ram. Unfortunately 4080 is def expensive, but I'm not surprised. Thanks a lot!
