logitech M170 jittering

Hi,

 

problem:

My mums logitech M170 has started randomly jittering. What I mean by this is that if I move it in a circle it will make a shape nowhere near a triangle and will often end up not going back where it came from.

 

solutions that havnt worked:

- battery replacement

- different computer

- disabling EPP

- going outside (dramatic sound effect)
